Bigger Than Basketball

The Cleveland Cavaliers were down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors – No one expected the Cavs to win three straight games to win the title. Everyone expected Cleveland to come up short, like they have done many times in the past. But this time was different.

LeBron put the Cavaliers on his shoulders and delivered on his promise to the city of Cleveland. With the helped of Kryie Irving, LeBron and the Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

It’s been 52 years since the city of Cleveland has tasted a championship of any kind, from any sport. It’s been long overdue for this city.

I’ve never been to Cleveland, but I understand their pain. After watching the 30 for 30s on ESPN (Believeland), I believe no city has suffered as much as Cleveland, when it comes to sports. Losing had become apart of their culture.

But those fans, never stop supporting their teams. It’s time to celebrate Cleveland. The curse is lifted! http://youtu.be/ZyGL6B7OH5A
