The inaugural Hoops For St. Jude Tip-Off Classic is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the FedEx Forum. The event will feature an exhibition matchup between the University of Memphis Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. The men’s team will compete against the University of North Carolina, while the women’s team will take on the University of South Carolina.
South Carolina, the reigning National Champion and dominant force in Women’s College Basketball, is led by Hall of Fame coach Dawn Staley.
North Carolina is a true blue blood. The match will provide Memphis with a chance to see where the current teams stand against an ACC powerhouse.
Tomorrow is an important day for the city of Memphis. It’s an opportunity for the city to demonstrate its support for the university, the city itself, and most importantly, St. Jude. It also gives fans the chance to see this year’s team compete against quality opponents. Let’s all come out tomorrow and show our support for our community.
