The Memphis Grizzlies have sign free-agent Michael Beasley to a training camp, non-guaranteed contact. League sources told a Yahoo Sports about the signing today.
Beasley has been working out for the Grizzlies this week and is looking forward to complete for a roster spot. The Grizzlies are already loaded at the wing spot, but can use some athleticism at the spot.
Beasley was the second overall pick in the 2008 draft. Beasley is a well travel forward. The forward has played for three teams in his short career. He was selected by the Miami Heat, the same team that gave him a second chance this past season. Beasley has also played for Minnesota and Phoenix.
Beasley has displayed a lot of talent on the basketball court, but his off-the-court issues have cause teams to give up on him.
The Grizzlies are a group of veteran guys, who just want to win. Memphis could be a great place for Beasley to resurrect his career. Just look at Tony Allen and Zach Randolph, The Grind changed them. The Grizzlies could do the same for Beasley.
